In the USA you can get Jail Time just be cause of speeding, go to fast on the Highway or other roads can result in Jail Time, THAT IS JUST PURE REDICULUS, COMPLETLY NUTS.
The USA complain about over filled Prisons, but when do they learn from the Europeans, of cause some kind of penalty there must be, but to remove a Parent/worker from the real world is no solution, that just makes things worth, that can result in Family problems or Problems at work.
The Solution is :
For speeding you get a fine, a example
Allowed 70 mph on the Highway, but you do about 126 mph. 80% to much then the fine is 500$ and your license is taken away for 1 month.
Allowed 70 mph. on the Highway, but you do about 140 mph. 100% to much then the fine is 700$ and your License is taken away for 2 Month.
this is a better when people are speeding and not destroying the life of a person.
A example from today :
BOSTON (Reuters) - Hollywood actor Matt Dillon was arrested and charged with driving at an excessive speed after police clocked him traveling at 106 miles per hour on a Vermont interstate highway.
The star of the 2004 movie "Crash" was pulled over at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday in the town of Newbury after he was caught on police radar traveling north at high speed in a rented 2009 Chevrolet Impala, said Vermont State Police Sgt. Tara Thomas.
The New York-based 44-year-old actor is scheduled to appear in Vermont's Orange County Court on January 21. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of three months in jail and a $300 fine.
Once again totally Nuts. |
